All Good Things
So I can’t believe I’m finally writing my first blog post!
This is so exciting for me since I have wanted to start a blog forever but
always made excuses why it was never a good time! Well I am finally making
things happen and I couldn’t be happier to take you on my journey!
I am so excited to announce that my husband and I will be
relocating to Nashville, TN in the next few weeks! Patrick and I are so happy about
the upcoming move but definitely sad to be leaving our family and friends. The main
purpose behind this blog is to keep people updated with our life in the south
and all of our adventures while exploring a new city! You can expect to see what’s
cooking in my kitchen, home decor, our travels, my journey with yoga, fashion and
everything in between!
This year has been really life changing for me and I feel
like I have learned and grown so much since turning 30 earlier this year. I
took a giant leap of faith and followed my passion for yoga out to California for
two months where I became a certified instructor. Yoga has played such a big
part of my life since discovering it a few years back and it has taught me so
much about living as my authentic self and leading a healthy and balanced life.
I tend to stress and have anxiety a lot so this has been the best cure ever.
Ever since I started taking yoga I always admired the instructors and thought
how cool and inspiring they were leading a class and motivating a group of
strangers. I always thought you had to be super fit or athletic to teach and after
taking teacher training I learned it was much more than that. You have to be
dedicated, true to yourself and create a positive experience for your students.
I am looking forward to continuing my love for yoga and exploring the yoga
community down in Nashville!
This year I have also learned how to accept change, change
in my career and change in my personal life. With the recent news of our move, I
have been having so many mixed emotions. Being a Chicago native and only
leaving for college at the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!), this news was a little
scary and exciting for me. We have called downtown Chicago home for the last 8
years and built our life here. With change it is inevitable to think about all
the good and bad times that we will be leaving behind but I know the future is
bright and looking forward to making new memories in a new city! In the
meantime, we are in the process of packing up our lovely loft and preparing for
the big move down south! I am also trying to squeeze in as much time as
possible with friends and family and all my favorite spots around town!
Also, Patrick and I have a big milestone coming up… our 1
year wedding anniversary!! My how time flies! I can certainly say that we successfully
made it to one year with only a few tears and lots of love. This year we
certainly went through many highs and lows but I know as long as Patrick and I
have our family/friends and health everything will work out. We will be celebrating
our one year anniversary with my first trip to Europe! I cannot express to you
how excited I am to be finally going abroad!! We are going with two of our best
friends and traveling to numerous cities in two weeks! It will definitely be a
trip to remember and I can’t wait to share our travels with you!
One of the things I am really looking forward to in
Nashville is settling into a new place and making it our own! I love to
interior decorate and make a new space into a cozy and comfy home. I look forward
to sharing updates on our new life in the south.
Thank you again for all the continued love and support with
this big move!! Make sure to follow my journey from Second City to Southern
Living! XOXO

This is amazing Lo!
